2024 Season reflection
Dec 2, 2024
At the end of the flower growing season, it can be tempting to immediately think ahead to next year—or to take a much needed break! But this is the ideal time to spend a moment looking back. A structured reflection on the past season can help you plan better for the following season, saving work, stress, and making your farm more profitable. In this presentation, Theresa Schumilas of Garden Party Flower Farm walks you through a season end reflection and chats with other flower farmers about their successes, lessons learned, and changes they’re planning for 2025.
One of the reasons people feel burnt out is because they are trying to grow too many things. If you can find the right mix for you, with the right timing, the right sales plan, then you can really trim back the crops you are growing. Then you are only growing mixes that do well.
